Okay, I just need to put this out there because I've been thinking about this and I don't know if everybody else has just been brainwashed by Leon Starke's stupid AI initiative. Don't call me crazy, these are just facts.
In 2017, when Starke announced the release of Pearly AI, Cyrus Alden PUBLICLY stated that Victoria would've NEVER wanted artificial intelligence to be integrated into any Pearson devices. She was always focused on blending art with technology, empowering people to create the art they envision using their own minds. Having AI do all the work goes COMPLETELY against that!
I honestly think Starke just used his position as CEO to finally push AI into Pearson devices. As an "artificial intelligence engineer" (a fake title that got a lot of eye rolls back in the early 2010s), he was always trying to convince the board that AI was "the future" and that everything would change if Pearson embraced it. Also, subscription models? Now we have to PAY MONTHLY to use our eFaces????? Come on guys, wake the heck up!
Personally I think Starke is a complete scumbag for this as he's clearly disregarding the legacy Victoria left for the company. I think this sets an awful precedent for the future of Pearson and I can't imagine what that stupid greedy CEO is going to do next. Am I the only one who finds this ridiculous??
Also, the Pearly AI itself is just annoying in general.
