I Helped Out with The Amazing Digital Wonderland!

I've been kiiiiiinda keeping this project under super secret wraps........... UNTIL NOW!

Earlier this year, a voice actor friend of mine showed me a show he was involved in. If you remember Undertale AUs from back in the day, this felt like the next evolution of that same kind of fandom energy - The Amazing Digital Circus AUs! It honestly hit a bit of nostalgia for me, because I remember being deep in Undertale AU spaces myself around 2017… which somehow is almost nine years ago now.

Anyway, after watching a QnA livestream with the AU cast, I noticed they were looking for composers for the project. Specifically, the audio director (Mr good ol' Soundbox) was recruiting. At that point, I hadn’t really been doing much volunteer or commission work for a while. I’ve mostly been focused on my own stuff under GuzyTracks and my album projects, so I wasn’t exactly actively looking to join anything.

But I applied kind of on a whim. I figured I’d send in a demo reel, see what happens, maybe get some feedback at best. I honestly expected it to be super competitive, but my exact mindset was basically “eh, I’m bored, why not.”

And then I got in????

Part of that was definitely thanks to that voice actor friend vouching for me, which helped a lot. Still, I was pretty surprised. I haven’t really been part of a collaborative project like this in a long time, and I’ve never worked on anything this large-scale before. The trailer for TADW alone got over 2M views, and the whole thing is apparently one of the biggest AUs in the fandom right now. So yeah… a little unexpected, to say the least.

Recently, we actually released the first episode of the show a couple days ago. It’s presented in a kind of animated comic dub format, which is really unique, and I had a lot of fun scoring it.

If you’re interested in checking it out (it’s already passed 500k views as I’m writing this), I’ll link it here. The team behind it is full of insanely talented artists, and since it’s all volunteer work, supporting the people involved really means a lot.
